Honest, Open, Proud Program
Are you a college student who identifies as having a mental health challenge and worries about keeping your condition a secret or telling others? The Loyola IMPACT Lab is conducting a study on an interactive group-based workshop that guides people through the process of making disclosure decisions.
- Study participants will be randomly assigned to the intervention condition or a non-intervention comparison group and will be asked to complete survey measures at 4 times in the semester. Participants will receive up to $40 (visa gift cards) or up to 8 Sona research credits (for Psyc 100 or 101 courses) for the study.
- Intervention participants will participate in 4 sessions, each 2 hours long, during the semester.
- Two peer leaders who have lived experience with mental illness will facilitate groups of 6-10 student participants, at a Lake Shore campus location.
